It was all about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton at the People’s Choice Awards. While accepting his award for Country Artist of the Year during the November 15 show, Blake, 44, made sure to give a shoutout to his fiancée, 51, who couldn’t attend due to COVID-19 restrictions. “Thank you to my new fiancée, Gwen Stefani. Her name is Gwen Stefani, S-T-E-F-A-N-I, if you need to google it and figure out who she is,” he joked. “Thank you for my inspiration.”

Blake Shelton’s speech was undoubtedly adorable, but maybe not as memorable as last year’s shoutout to Gwen in the audience. “I know we can cuss on this show and I want to say Gwen Stefani, I love the s**t out of you,” he said, to huge applause and a laughing Gwen. This was just over one year before he would pop the question to his beloved! While Gwen explained on Instagram that she was staying clear of the 2020 PCAs over coronavirus concerns, she was still there to cheer Blake on from a distance.
She watched the show from her car! When Blake delivered his speech, she posted a clip to her Instagram story, adding cute stickers to the video. She also took the opportunity to show a close-up of her truly massive engagement ring for the first time. As HollywoodLife previously learned, the giant diamond sparkler is estimated at $500,000 — he wasn’t messing around. Now, it’s time to plan the wedding.
A source close to the couple told HollywoodLife that The Voice coaches want their nuptials to be a “family affair” and include Gwen’s three sons: Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6. “The goal for Blake and Gwen would be to get married after COVID so they have a chance to celebrate with everyone they want there,” the source added.
