Nicola Formichetti Quits As Lady Gaga’s Stylist:

Whether Lady Gaga is wearing Kermit the frog or a fridge full of meat, her outfits always do one thing: get our attention. The “Artpop” singer’s eccentric style is part of her persona, becoming an iconic part of her image. However, that might be changing. Gaga’s former stylist and friend, Nicola Formichetti, has announced that he will not longer be styling the ‘Mother Monster.’

Instead, the job will be going to Formichetti’s ex-assistant, Brandon Maxwell, who has taken over.

Why Nicola Formichetti Quit Styling Lady Gaga:

The former Mugler director revealed the reason he decided to quit the job after years with the Grammy winning artist.

“She’s going to be my BFF forever, but my ex-assistant Brandon is heading that project. I’m too busy with [other commitments]. I’ve done two albums with her, it’s been like five years, and you know, I’m always going to be involved somehow, but I cannot do it every day. She changes 12 times a day; it’s insane.”

Well, we’re glad there’s no hard feelings! But what will this mean for Lady Gaga’s future in crazy couture?

The Future Fashion Of Lady Gaga:

Maxwell told WWD:

“I think that this time it is about letting some of it go and the focus being on the music because now she’s comfortable being naked and being who she is. The world has seen everything. It’s more toned down and pulled back and chic. But it’s also that we’re making suits out of things that they would not normally be made out of, like plastic, but they’re super well-tailored and clean. Maybe she’s just wearing a simple catsuit and a head wrap…but we sort of do the craziness on the face.”
