Bio:
Chris Hyndman (born Christopher Hyndman on March 3, 1966 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) was a Canadian interior designer and television personality. Chris was a native of Newfoundland, and grew up influenced by his mother’s sense of style and love for her home. Chris and his mother developed his design skills, working together on her projects. Chris would pursue his interest in interior design, leading him to launch the Sabados Group in 1992 with his future husband, Steven Sabados, in 1992. Together, they worked for private clients and did set design work for various television productions in the Toronto area, including City TV’s Fashion Television, Movie Television and Much Music. Chris and Steve’s natural charisma led them to star in the first three seasons of Designer Guys. In 2003, Chris and Steve launched a similar show, Design Rivals, and followed that up with a makeover show called So Chic with Steven And Chris. Chris remained a beloved television personality with the Steven and Chris talk show until his death. On August 3, 2015, Chris was discovered unresponsive in an alley near the home he shared with Steve. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Personal Life:
Chris met Steven in a Toronto Bar in 1998, where they debated feminism. They both worked together at City TV, and moved in together after three months of dating. Though they were a longtime couple off-screen, Chris and Steven didn’t acknowledge their relationship until 2007. In 2008, they were married.
