This is NOT a good time for Kanye West. After his album ‘The Life Of Pablo’ leaked online, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that he is furious — and that has made him not-so-fun to be around. Poor Kim Kardashian!
Kanye West, 38, is looking into taking legal action against a website after it allowed his new album, The Life Of Pablo, to be pirated over 500,000 times. Unfortunately, even with the hope of a winning lawsuit, the artist has let the leak get under his skin.
“Kanye is going to meet with his legal team to discuss the possibilities of starting legal action against torrent site Pirate Bay,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Why? Because The Life Of Pablo, his eighth and most anticipated studio album, was uploaded to the site and then shared over half a million times — allowing so-called fans to acquire his music illegally and without profit. Yikes.
Our source explained that Kanye is “furious because he’s potentially lost millions of dollars.” In this case, who can blame him for being so angry?
Unfortunately, his wife, Kim Kardashian, can. “Because of this breach, Kanye has been difficult to be around. He’s touchy, angry and feels like his material was stolen. He hates the idea of people not paying for his music and feels someone needs to be held accountable for that.” He’s right, but it sucks to hear that he could potentially be taking his anger out on his family.
The album leak comes just after Kanye revealed to the world that he is $53 million dollars in debt. Even though that hasn’t stopped him from shopping for very expensive jewelry, he knows he took a big financial hit with the album being downloaded illegally. Those free albums will not be helping him get out of debt, that’s for sure!
“He’s going to talk to his lawyers and see where he stands, and hopefully Tidal will partner up with him in any legal proceedings because it was supposed to be an exclusive release,” HollywoodLife.com‘s source shared EXCLUSIVELY. “He certainly feels he has a case, with the two factors he’s mulling over being copyright infringement and loss of earnings.”
