Pretty Little Liars creator Marlene King told me the Aug. 28 summer finale was her “all-time favorite episode” — and after watching it, I have to agree. Not only did we finally get “justice for Maya,” as promised, but a character fans have loved since the series premiere was revealed to have “a” very dark side.  

Plus, Garrett’s murder case takes a surprising turn! I haven’t been this upset over an acquittal since O.J.
It was a weird week in Rosewood. Like, really weird — even for Pretty Little Liars’ standards. On the July 17 episode, Hanna (Ashley Benson) went on a ‘date’ with Toby (Keegan Allen), her mom bared her cleavage for a pastor, and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) visited a creepy antique store. OK, that last part wasn’t so weird. It’s pretty much Spencer’s favorite after-school activity.

I always knew ‘A’ was twisted, but even I couldn’t have predicted chemical warfare. Always double check your drinks, girls!
Science really can do some amazing things these days. Not only did Jenna (Tammin Sursok) regain her sight, but as we saw on the July 10 episode of Pretty Little Liars, she also gained the ability to throw a bitchin’ party! Of course, like all big events in Rosewood, her birthday celebration quickly took “A” tragic turn.

Spoiler alert: Stop reading if you haven’t watched this week’s ‘Pretty Little Liars.’
Even when your whole life is crashing around you, you’re supposed to be able to rely on your family — unless, of course, you’re a Hastings, which Spencer (Troian Bellisario) learned the hard way on the June 19 episode of Pretty Little Liars. Big sis Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) finally returned to Rosewood this week, and like always, she brought along a nasty little secret.

It’s true, the girls are no longer ‘blind’ to what Jenna’s been hiding from them! (See what I did there?)
“Bitch can see!” Aria (Lucy Hale) wins the award for best line of the night, as the girls finally learned that Jenna (Tammin Sursok) has been faking her blindness on the June 12 episode of Pretty Little Liars. Of course, that was hardly their biggest problem this week.

Plus, Marlene says the finale features the series’ creepiest moment yet! (Yes, even ‘creepier than the dolls.’)
I’ve got good some very good news for Pretty Little Liars fans — especially those of you with anxiety issues: creator Marlene King promises HollywoodLife.com we won’t have to wait until the final moments of the March 19 season finale to find out who “A” is! “You’ll have time to process it and understand it as the girls are processing it and understanding it,” she teases.

But is it really her killer? That’s just one of the million new questions we’re left with after this week’s episode.
Next week’s finale of Pretty Little Liars promises to be the most intense hour of the season, but I find it hard to believe it can possibly top the March 12 episode, which messed with my head so badly I’m not even sure a trip to Dr. Wren could cure me. (OK, fine, a trip to Dr. Wren could cure anything.) Let’s dissect this week’s episode, twist by twist, to see if we can figure out who “A” might actually be.

Seriously, what is it with Jenna and fires? And even worse: Why am I starting to like her?
Jenna (Tammin Sursok) returned to Rosewood with a bang on the March 5 episode of Pretty Little Liars — and not just because she got caught in Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) house as it literally exploded. She also appears to have totally brainwashed Toby (Keegan Allen), who looked like he was about to slap Spencer (Troian Bellisario) during their intense encounter at school.

This week’s episode revealed three major surprises, each one more bananas than the last. Warning: There be spoilers ahead!
In what can only be described as Rosewood High School’s worst idea ever, it was “Truth Up Day” on the Feb. 6 episode of Pretty Little Liars; and no one — least of all me — was prepared for the secrets that would trickle out. I hope you have a change of pants handy.

Shane Coffey tells HollywoodLife.com that Holden’s major secret will be revealed in the coming weeks! What do you think it is?
Holden (Shane Coffey) may be helping Aria (Lucy Hale) keep her relationship with Ezra (Ian Harding) a secret, but it won’t be long before Holden’s own secret becomes the talk of Rosewood. Shane tells HollywoodLife.com that, while Pretty Little Liars fans will be surprised to discover what he’s been hiding, no one will be more shocked than Aria herself! “It’s not directly related to Aria, but she’s involved in it,” Shane says. “He eventually tells her, and as long as she trusts him, he can keep the secret up.”

Creepy dolls, mind-blowing time jumps, and plenty of backfat made for one killer ‘Pretty Little Liars’ finale!
There were more than a few questions on our plate Aug. 30 at the start of the Pretty Little Liars summer finale: Where is Dr. Sullivan? Who really killed Alison? And, of course, who the F is “A?” Believe it or not, we actually got some of those questions answered — a rare phenomena in Rosewood — and in typical Pretty Little Liars fashion, we were also presented with a whole lot more.

Haven’t these girls learned to avoid school functions by now? They never end well.
Alison’s mom roped the girls into helping out with the annual charity fashion show on the July 19 episode of Pretty Little Liars — and in true Rosewood form, it didn’t take long for the night to turn into a complete disaster.

The staff at Rosewood High is about to become a lot less dreamy. Yes, Mr. Fitz (Ian Harding) bids his students farewell on the June 21 episode of Pretty Little Liars, with an emotionally charged speech secretly targeted at Aria (Lucy Hale) — you know, the student he’s been banging for the past year. Ezra’s words may be sweet, but I can’t help but wonder if his relationship with Aria is more trouble than it’s worth.

Lindsey dishes on Paige & Emily’s definite future — and last week’s big (‘awkward’) kiss!
If you thought Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige’s (Lindsey Shaw) surprise kiss on the Feb. 14 episode of Pretty Little Liars was intense, just wait — it’s only getting better from here! “She’s going to explore this avenue with Emily, sometimes voluntarily and other times with a lot of resistance and fear,” Lindsey tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
