Don Johnson (born Donnie Wayne Johnson on December 15, 1949 in Flat Creek, Missouri) is a well-known actor, producer, director and singer. He’s most widely recognized for playing James “Sonny” Crockett on Miami Vice from 1984 to 1989. Don won a Golden Globe for Miami Vice. He also played the lead in the ’90s cop series Nash Bridges. He’s also had other roles on Eastbound and Down and Just Legal. He’s appeared in many feature films, including Django Unchained, The Other Woman and Cold in July. He is currently starring as Hap Briggs on ABC’s Blood & Oil.

Don is best known for his role as James “Sonny” Crockett on Miami Vice. He’s also known for being the father of 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson.
Personal Life:
Don married actress Melanie Griffith in 1976. They filed for divorce the same year. They reunited in 1989 and were married until 1996. He married Kelley Phleger in 1999. Don has five children — Dakota, Jesse Wayne, Grace, Jasper and Deacon.
