Who Are Julia Fox’s Parents?
Julia was born in Italy to mom Gracie and dad Thomas. Though her parents separated when she was a child, Julia lived with her grandfather until she was 5 years old in the town of Saronno because her mother was still finishing college, the Uncut Gems actress told The Guardian in 2020.
After five years in Italy, Julia moved to New York City to live with her father when she was 6 years old. During her interview, the Gotham Award nominee recalled how her dad “always treated me as an adult, even as a child.” When she was just a kid, Julia’s dad let her run “wild,” which led her to experiment with drugs. She claimed that she “wouldn’t come home for days” and was “allowed to do that.”
“I think my dad was relieved that I was out of the house,” Julia said. While living with Thomas, Julia would visit her mom in Italy while growing up.
Julia also alleged that her dad was abusive, describing him as either being “the best dad ever or the literal worst.” As for her mother, the No Sudden Move star claimed that Gracie was absent for long periods of time, and when she was present, Gracie and Julia would fight all the time.
How Many Siblings Does Julia Fox Have?
The Italy native previously revealed that she has two younger brothers. In early 2023, Julia’s brother Christopher Fox was arrested with their father after the NYPD raided their Manhattan apartment and uncovered ghost funs, narcotics and bomb-related materials.
Julia’s other brother’s name has not been revealed. However, she explained during a previous interview with Highsnobiety that the teenager is still living in Italy.
Where Are Julia Fox’s Mom and Dad Now?
After authorities inspected Thomas and Christopher’s Upper East Side apartment, the father and son were arrested. However, Thomas has not been formally charged with a crime yet.
As for Gracie, Julia noted in her Highsnobiety interview that her mother still lives in Italy.
Does Julia Fox Still Talk to Her Parents?
Upon reflecting on her relationship with her parents, Julia reportedly cut ties with them and distanced herself from Gracie, Thomas and her brother Christopher.
“Julia and Christopher were raised by their unstable, abusive and unhinged father,” a source told Daily Mail in March. “She knew about her dad and brother’s 3D printing and suspected drug usage but has no direct knowledge about this because she has zero contact with either of them.”
The insider added that the Down the Drain author “knew that one day [Thomas’] life would catch up with him. She is glad that no one was hurt by his disgusting actions.”
