Bio:
Tituss Burgess (born on February 21, 1979 in Athens, Georgia) is an American actor and singer. Tituss attended Cedar Shoals High School where he was active in the school’s drama and theatre program. After finishing high school, Tituss attended the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Tittuss made his Broadway debut in 2005, appearing in the musical Good Vibrations. That same year, he joined Jersey Boys as Hal Miller. When Disney adapted The Little Mermaid as a Broadway musical, Tituss was the actor who originated the role of Sebastian the Crab. Tituss went on to the nore of Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the 2009 revival of Guys and Dolls. His additional theater credits include The Wiz and Jesus Christ Superstar. Tituss was part of the Broadway for Obama benefit concert in 2008. In 2009, Tituss appeared in the web show, The Battery’s Down. He followed it up with roles on A Gifted Man and Blue Bloods, before he appeared as D’Fwan on 30 Rock. This connection would lead him to further work with Tina Fey. In 2015, when she launched her Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Tituss would be cast as Titus Adromedon. His role earned him a Best Supporting Actor nomination at both the Critic’s Choice Awards and at the Emmys.
