Rob Thomas (born Robert Kelly Thomas on February 14, 1972 in Landstuhl, West Germany) is a German-born American singer, songwriter and record producer. He is the primary singer and songwriter of the band Matchbox Twenty. He performed with Matchbox Twenty for ten years before beginning his solo career in 2005. His first solo album was “Lonely No More,” which reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. He has made several significant appearances since going solo, including touring with Jewel. In 2009, Rob released his second solo album, called Cradlesong, which featured his popular song “Her Diamonds.” His third solo album, The Great Unknown, was released in August 2015.

Rob Thomas is best known for his songs “Lonely No More” and “Her Diamonds,” as well as many Matchbox Twenty hits, such as “How Far We’ve Come.”
Personal Life:
Rob Thomas married to Marisol Maldonado. The couple is very philanthropic, specifically to animal charities. They established the P Sidewalk Angels Foundation that helps needy people in American cities who cannot afford medical care and care for animals that have been abused.
