Mia Wasikowska (born in Canberra, Australia, on October 14, 1989), is an Australian actress. Before she took up acting, Mia wanted to become a professional ballerina but an injury prevented her from doing so. Mia previously had roles in Australian television and films before she skyrocketed to fame when she starred as Alice in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. She also starred as the title character in 2011’s Jane Eyre and in the critically-acclaimed 2010 film The Kids Are All Right.
