Matthew Rhys (born Matthew Rhys Evans in Cardiff, Wales on November 8, 1974) is a Welsh actor, currently known for his role on the FX drama series, The Americans. Matthew first began his career in News Zealand, starring in a colonial costume drama, Greenstone. Following a few minor roles, he landed a role opposite of Brittany Murphy in the independent feature film, Love and Other Disasters, and in Virgin Territory with Hayden Christensen and Mischa Barton. He later moved to California in 2011, where he joined the cast on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. Matthew landed his role in The Americans in 2013.

Personal Life:
