Matt Hasselbeck (born Matthew Michael Hasselbeck on September 25, 1975 in Boulder, Colorado) is an American professional football player. He he spent his career playing quarterback and has played on four different NFL teams. After being born in Colorado, Matt grew up in Norfolk, Massachusetts with his two younger brothers, Tim and Nathanael, and their parents. Following in his dad’s football-playing path, Matt played quarterback for Boston College, also playing two years with Tim. He was selected in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, where he played backup for Brett Favre. He spent the bulk of his career with the Seattle Seahawks after joining the team in 2001. During his nine years in Seattle, Matt set several franchise records and led the team to five division titles, six playoff appearances, and one Super Bowl. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl three times. Despite his extreme success with the Seahawks, an agreement struggle resulted in him signing with the Tennessee Titans in 2011, where he played until he was released in 2013. Matt now plays for the Indianapolis Colts, backing up starting quarterback Andrew Luck.

Matt is best known for his achievements as quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. He played with the Seahawks from 2001-2010, leading them to the Super Bowl in 2005. Matt also holds several franchise records with the team, including most games started as quarterback.
Personal Life:
After meeting his college sweetheart, Sarah Egnaczyk, when they were 17, the two married on June 17, 2000. Matt and Sarah have three children together: two daughters, Annabelle and Mallory, and a son, Henry.
