Liam Hemsworth (born in Melbourne, Australia on January 13, 1990) is an Australian actor. Hemsworth is best-known for playing Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games. He has also been the lead in films like The Last Song and The Expendables 2. He first gained notoriety playing Josh Taylor in the soap opera Neighbours, and as “Marcus” on the children’s television series The Elephant Princess. Hemsworth’s elder brothers, Luke and Chris Hemsworth, are also actors, and provided a path for Hemsworth to emulate. His personal life was marked by his relationship with fiancee and The Last Song co-star, Miley Cyrus. The couple got engaged in May 2012, but called things off in Sept. 2013 amid cheating rumors and reports of continuous fighting.

In Dec. 2015, Liam Reunited with Miley, and at the start of 2016, she was spotted wearing her engagement ring again. In December 2018, Liam and Miley were married in a private ceremony in Tennessee. However, on August 10, 2019, a representative for the couple revealed they decided to separate. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a representative told People in a statement. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
