La’Porsha Renae (born in 1994 in McComb, Mississippi) is a contestant on the 15th and final season of American Idol.

Personal Life:
La’Porsha first auditioned for American Idol at the age of 16, but did not receive a golden ticket. After graduating from her Mississippi high school, she got married and moved to South Carolina with her husband, who was in the US Air Force. However, he was abusive, and she left him, moving to California. She later forgave him and moved back to Mississippi. Unfortunately, the abuse started again, though she was pregnant with their daughter, Nayale. La’Porsha and Nayale escaped and moved to a shelter, and La’Porsha auditioned and made it onto Idol soon after.
