James Packer (born James Douglas Packer on September 8, 1967 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian businessman. He inherited his family’s company, Consolidated Press Holdings Limited, from his famous father, media mogul Kerry Packer, and grandfather, Frank Packer. James’ work in the company has made him a billionaire, and as of May 2015, he was estimated to be worth $6.08 billion. Since taking over the company after his father died in 2005, James has focused mostly on its worldwide gambling empire, Crown, which is one of Australia’s largest entertainment resort groups. He was previously the executive chairman of Publishing and Broadcasting Limited, as well as Consolidated Meida Holdings, and has made several high-stakes investments.

Personal Life:
James was engaged to Kate Fischer from 1996-1998, and after they called things off, he married Jodhi Meares in Oct. 199. They split up in 2002, and in June 2007, James tied the knot again, this time to Erica Baxter. He and Erica have three kids, daughters Indigo and Emmanuelle and son, Jackson, but they announced their separation in 2013. In 2015, he and Mariah Carey started dating. In 2002, James briefly got involved with Scientology, but has since distanced himself from the Church.
