Bio:
Jack Conger (born John Conger on September 26, 1994 in Rockville, Maryland) is an American swimmer. He specializes in backstroke, butterfly and freestyle. He took the silver in the 2012 U.S. Open Swimming Championships, but failed to qualify for the US Team by finishing 8th in the 100 m backstroke and 5th in the 200 m backstroke. Jack currently swims at University of Texas at Austin. In 2015, he broke the American and US Open record in the 200 yd butterfly. Jack represented Team USA at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. There, he won gold with the 4 x 200 freestyle relay team. Jack is in hot water, along with some of his fellow teammates, after inconsistencies were found in their reports of being robbed at gun point while in Rio.
