Bio:
David Boudia (born April 24, 1989 in Abilene, Texas) is an American diver. David has been diving since 2000 and has been a member of the U.S. National Diving Team since 2005. He competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 10-meter platform and the synchronized 10-meter platform, where he partnered with Thomas Finchum. They did not win any medals. David also attended the 2012 Summer Olympic Games with his partner, Nicholas McCrory. The duo won bronze in the synchro ten-meter platform. While they were beat by China and Mexico, their bronze was the first medal in men’s diving since the 1996 games in Atlanta. In 2012, David won gold in the solo 10 meter platform, giving the US the first gold in diving since the 2000 Summer Olympics. He will be representing America and competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics. His partner for the synchro dive will be Steele Johnson.

Personal Life:
David converted to Christianity in 2010 because of the influence of his college diving coach, Adam Soldati. He is very open about his religious beliefs. In 2012, David married Sonnie Brand, who he met in college at Purdue University. They have one daughter, Dakoda, born in October 2014.
