Dak Prescott (born Rayne Dakota Prescott in Sulphur, Louisiana on July 29, 2016) is an American professional football quarterback, who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. Before signing to the NFL, Dak played football at the collegiate level for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He started for the college team from 2013 until 2015. During his college career, Dak finished eighth in the 2014 Heisman Trophy voting and was named 2015 National Player of the Year Candidate. He finished third in Southeastern Conference history in total yards run and fourth in total touchdowns. In Apr. 2016, Dak was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. In just his sixth week as a professional footballer, Dak broke the record for most consecutive pass attempts without interception at 176 attempts, a record previously held by Tom Brady.

Dak Prescott is the youngest of three boys. In Mar. 2016, he was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. The charges were later thrown out in July 2016, on an account of “insufficient samples.” The DUI case was rumored to have caused Dak to fall lower in the draft.
