Lea Michele‘s Dec. 12 interview on Ellen didn’t leave a dry eye in the audience, since she spoke about what it was like working with her Glee “family” again after the passing of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith. She also said she wants “rise” from her grief for Cory, because he inspired her to do her best, and his love made her feel like the “luckiest girl in the world.”
After losing her co-star and boyfriend, Cory Monteith in July, Lea Michele has been finishing her first album and spending a great deal of time with her family. The 27-year-old actress’ first single will be out Dec. 10, and she says that in a way, it saved her.
When Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) lost the love of her life, Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), and returned to McKinley High to put him to rest, the episode honestly and powerfully reflected her deep grief and the grief of the entire Glee cast.
Meanwhile, at McKinley, the New Directions took on twerking! However, it wasn’t all fun and games. Marley (Melissa Benoist) came face to face with Jake (Jacob Artist)’s secret hook up, which aggressively tore her apart — and ultimately led her to a serious wrecking ball (and some brick throwing).
Lea Michele continues to shock us with her strength after tragically losing Cory Monteith, and just as the Glee cast did, she is remembering him through song — and the title represents his last words to her.

On Sept. 21, Lea Michele tweeted a sneak peek of a cover shoot for one of her “all time favorite magazines” and seemed to be happy about working and staying busy in the months following her boyfriend Cory Monteith‘s sudden death. And now we finally know that the photo shoot was for Elle magazine’s December cover!
