Hope Solo (born Hope Amelia Solo in Richland, Washington on July 30, 1981) is a professional women’s soccer player and Olympic gold medalist. Hope’s father taught her how to play soccer at a young age. While playing as a forward at Richland High School, Hope scored 109 goals and led the team to three consecutive league titles. She attended University of Washington, where she switched to goalkeeper. She became the top goalkeeper in Pac-10 history. Hope’s father taught her how to play soccer at a young age. She was awarded Olympic gold medals in both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Hope has been goalkeeping for the US Women’s National Soccer team since 2000. She was a participant on Dancing With The Stars in 2011 and published Solo: A Memoir of Hope in 2012. In 2015, Hope was part of the US Women’s National Team that won the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Hope is best known for her long-standing run with the US Women’s National Soccer team. She has been goalkeeping since 2000. She became a gold medalist in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
Personal Life:
Hope is married to former NFL player Jerramy Stevens. They wed in November 13, 2012, just one day after Jerramy was arrested on investigation, following a fight with Hope. Hope was arrested on June 21, 2014 for counts of domestic violence against her sister and nephew. The police report leaked on June 7, 2015, and she alleged called one of the cops a “bitch” and said she’d like to kick his “ass.”
