Bio:
Ally Brooke Hernandez (born Allyson Brooke Herandez on July 7, 1993 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American singer. Ally grew up in San Antonio, where she fell in love with the Tejano style of music and began singing when she was just 9 years old. She auditioned for the second season of the U.S. version of The X-Factor in Austin, singing “On My Knees” by Jaci Velasquez. She made it to the Bootcamp stage of the competition, and though she was eliminated as a solo artist, she was brought back as part of a girl group. She was joined by Normani Kordei, Camila Cabello, Lauren Jaurequi and Dinah Jane Hansen to form LYLAS (later renamed 1432.) Simon Cowell hated the name and held an audience poll to rename the group Fifth Harmony. Though they finished third in the competition, they found success with their debut EP, Better Together, in 2013. The EP debuted at the No.6 position on the Billboard 200. Their first album, Reflection, was released in 2015. Their third single, “Worth It,” became a Top 15 Billboard hit, going on to be certified double platinum.
