Dancing with the Stars season 32 continues to shock and surprise us. At the end of the October 24 episode, Mira Sorvino and Gleb Savchenko were eliminated. The couple found themselves in the bottom three for the first time during Most Memorable Year Night, and co-host Alfonso Ribeiro admitted it was the “closest vote” of the season so far. They were in the bottom three with Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber, as well as Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold.
Following the live results, Mira’s hands covered her face in shock. She hugged Gleb, 40, before they headed down to the middle of the ballroom to speak with co-host Julianne Hough. A visibly emotional Mira, 56, said her DWTS experience has been “incredible.” She added, “It’s been lots of dreams come true. I’m very grateful.” They were soon comforted by their fellow contestants and pros.
After the episode, Gleb took to his Instagram Story to show Mira some love. “Mira, I’m so proud of you. You did an incredible job tonight,” he said. Gleb noted that it was “just an honor to recreate an iconic choreography” from Mira’s movie and “be a part of” her story. He also wished his fellow contestants and pros the best of luck moving forward.
Mira and Gleb started off the show with a touching contemporary performance that included Mira’s 18-year-old daughter Mattea Backus. They danced to “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, a nod to Mira’s beloved 1997 film Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.
“Gleb choreographed this incredible dance to ‘Time After Time’ about the love between parents and a daughter and, you know, her going away and coming back but love always returns and we always end up together in the end. And it’s really beautiful,” Mira told ET prior to the performance.
Season 32 will continue with Monster Night on October 31. The 9 remaining couples will dance spooky routines while all dressed up for Halloween. Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+.
