Move over Britney Spears — little sis Jamie Lynn, 29, is the new crop top queen! The Zoey’s 101 alum channeled Britney with a cropped black hoodie as she posed for a series of Instagram photos posed on Wednesday, Jan. 6. Jamie Lynn sported the quarantine-approved top with a pair of colorful Nike sneakers and white crocket skirt from Anthropologie’s sister brand Free People. Her torso looked toned as she flashed an ear-to-ear grin for the camera!
“Sweatshirts and beach skirts,” she joked in her caption adding a shrugging emoji. It appears her 2.1 million were also loving the casual midi-length skirt, which included a black embroidered pattern at the bottom. “*tagged skirt info for those of you asking*,” Jamie Lynn also wrote in her caption. The blonde kept her hair straight and down for the snaps, accessorizing with a black pair of circle-frame sunglasses and red lipstick.
The 29-year-old — who is mom to daughters Maddie Briann, 12, and Ivey Joan, 2 — appeared to pose from inside the Louisiana home she shares with husband Jamie Watson, 38. A vintage white dresser could be seen behind her, along with various awards: the actress and singer was credited as a song writer on Jana Kramer‘s 2015 tune “I Got The Boy.” Previously, Jamie Lynn revealed that her Britney, 39, returned home to Louisiana during quarantine.
“Britney was like, ‘I want to come home, I don’t want to be by myself out here,’ because all of her family’s pretty much here,” Jamie Lynn said to Entertainment Tonight back in May. Britney primarily resides in Los Angeles with boyfriend Sam Asghari, 27. While she does not live with her sons Jayden James, 14, and Sean Preston, 15, full-time they also reside in L.A. “So she was able to come home for almost two weeks or so,” Jamie Lynn added of Brit’s home state trip.
Of course, Britney is iconic for her wearing of crop tops over the years, dating back to her early career days with …Baby One More Time. The-then teen star sported a tied-up white blouse for a “school girl” look in the 1998 music video, going on to make the cropped style one of her signatures to this day! At 39, Britney — who regularly posts about her yoga and fitness routines — often shows off her toned tummy in bikinis and tiny tops. Back in October, the Kentwood native even channeled her OG music video on a similar white top as she danced at home!
