Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley‘s romance is over, but they are very much on the same team when it comes to co-parenting their daughter Pilar Jhena, who will turn two in March 2021. “Despite Porsha and Dennis living separately, they’re very much on the same page when it comes to raising PJ,” a source close to Porsha told HollywoodLife, exclusively. “They don’t ever let their personal matters interfere with their daughter and they’ve been handling their co-parenting situation on the best terms,” the insider revealed, noting that the exes “have every intention of celebrating Christmas together with Pilar — because at the end of the day, they’re still very much a family.”
With PJ’s second birthday approaching, Porsha and Dennis know how important it is for their daughter to have these milestone memories with both of her parents. “They’re still very close and really committed to being the best co-parents to Pilar, but they are not together as a couple,” a second source reiterated. “They will spend Christmas together though, because Porsha feels like that’s best for Pilar. Everything is about their daughter and what will make her happiest and healthiest.”
Both sources confirmed that The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is not dating anyone new at this time. “She feels they are better just as co-parents,” the second insider said, adding that while she loves Dennis and “will always consider him family,” Porsha is not planning on getting back together with the Detroit entrepreneur.
Instead, the reality star and activist “is focused on spending as much time as possible with her daughter, while also working on her luxury sheet set, Pampered by Porsha, filming for the show, and using her platform to spread awareness about the importance to get out and vote in the U.S. Senate runoff elections on January 5,” the source explained.
Earlier this month, Porsha confirmed her “single” relationship status on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. When a fan asked what her thoughts were about Dennis posting and then deleting an Instagram Story that said he’s “single AF,” Porsha replied with, “Girl, we are single!” Though, she did admit that they’re “very cordial and have a great co-parenting relationship.”
Fans started to question the couple’s relationship in August, when Porsha appeared to unfollow Dennis on Instagram and delete some photos of the pair. — That was after Dennis came under fire in January when he was spotted at an Atlanta diner with a group of women.
Porsha and Dennis’ relationship struggles were heavily documented on Season 12 of RHOA, where fans watched them discuss his infidelity (which occurred during her pregnancy with PJ) in joint therapy sessions. Dennis also noted that their relationship was strained after Porsha suffered postpartum depression.
Dennis proposed to Porsha September 2018, and they were slated to tie the knot in 2019. The ceremony was later rescheduled for 2020, after the pair split and got back together due to his infidelity.
