It’s been a time of change for Lisa Vanderpump, who quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after nine seasons in June 2019, and announced the devastating loss of her beloved dog, Giggy on December 13. “Lisa is having a really hard time with the loss of Giggy,” a source close to LVP told HollywoodLife exclusively. “He wasn’t sick, just really old so it didn’t come as a total shock, but she’s devastated.”

As Lisa continues to grieve, she’s also focused on getting back to work. While she won’t be filming with the women of Beverly Hills, she will be surrounded by Bravo cameras. LVP is expanding her Vanderpump Dogs brand into a show. Founded in 2016, the nonprofit foundation seeks to “create a better world for dogs,” according to its website.

“Lisa begins filming her Vanderpump Dogs show before the year’s end and she can’t wait. She’s really looking forward to getting back to work,”the source said about her new gig, adding that the show will feature “all new faces.” Peacock, which is NBC’s new streaming platform (NBC owns Bravo), confirmed the Vanderpump Rules spinoff in July.

“She never thought Vanderpump Rules wouldn’t be back (in light of the recent firings and departures from notable names on the show) and she seems to be missing filming [the new season],” the source revealed. “You could say she misses RHOBH, because she wants to be working, but she doesn’t miss the ladies. She misses being on a show though.”

Fans of the hit Beverly Hills franchise know that Lisa quit the show following the infamous storyline, “PuppyGate,” which involved her Vanderpump Dogs adoption center to a certain degree. Puppygate emerged when RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley adopted a pup from Vanderpump Dogs, but the animal ended up being put in a shelter. The situation was later leaked to the press, which led to the women feuding over who spilled the tea. At one point during the drama, LVP claimed she “passed” two lie detector tests that proved her innocence in PuppyGate. Despite the latter, Lisa decided to walk away from RHOBH all together, and the rest is history.
