Lana Del Rey, 35, is reportedly getting ready to walk down the aisle with her boyfriend-turned fiance Clayton Johnson! The singer is engaged to the hunky musician just four months after they first sparked romance speculation, according to Us Weekly. A source told the outlet that she said “yes” after Clayton recently popped the question, but both of them have kept the big step in their relationship under wraps for now.
Before the latest report, Lana had fans speculating about a possible engagement between her and Clayton more than once, including when she showed off a ring on her left hand ring finger during a performance of “Let Me Love You Like a Woman” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Dec. 14, which can be seen below. The gorgeous talent wore a flattering black zip-up outfit and had her long curly locks down during the appearance as she held onto the microphone stand at times and flashed the piece of jewelry. Before that, fans also noticed a ring on Lana in a Halloween photo she posted with Clayton, which can be seen here.
Lana and Clayton’s reported engagement comes just eight months after she split from her boyfriend Sean “Sticks” Larkin. The Live PD star confirmed they broke up in Mar. after dating for six months, in an interview with The New York Times, and said they were now “just friends”. The former lovebirds were first spotted together in Sept. 2019 and by Dec. of that year they made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a photo in which Sean had one arm around Lana and was kissing the top of her head. She was also holding onto one of his arms with both of her hands as she leaned back into him.
Although Lana and Sean seemed to have some great times together, her new romance with Clayton seems just as strong, if not stronger. They have been interacting and showing up on each other’s social media pages since Aug. and seem to have a great time together. Clayton shared a video of the “Summertime Sadness” crooner swimming in a pool on his Instagram story last month and days before that, he posted a photo of himself sitting at a table with her feet visible on the other side.
The first post that hinted at Lana and Clayton’s relationship was one of Lana’s that Clayton commented on. In the Aug. video post, Lana could be seen nearly kissing a man while holding a playing card up to her mouth. “I wish I was that card,” Clayton flirted in response.
