‘RHOC’s Braunwyn Windham-Burke Reveals Her New Girlfriend After Coming Out As A Lesbian — See Pic

Braunwyn Windham-Burke, 43, is not only ready to embrace being a part of the “LGBTQ+ community,” but is ready to show off her girlfriend as well! A few hours after coming out as “gay” in an interview with GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) on Dec. 2, Braunwyn took to her Instagram Story later that night to share a cute selfie with her significant other. The couple was on a hike, and Braunwyn lovingly rested her head on her girlfriend’s shoulder in the snapshot.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star didn’t reveal her girlfriend’s name, but she did share a rainbow flag and pink heart emojis over the couple’s picture. It has taken Braunwyn “42 years” to be so open about this part of her life, which she explained in her interview with GLAAD.

“I like women. I’m gay. I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community. It has taken me 42 years to say that but I am so proud of where I am right now,” the Bravo star told the media organization. Braunwyn also addressed the fact that she has been married to a man, Sean Burke, whom she celebrated her 20-year anniversary with earlier this year and even had a vow renewal ceremony. “I love Sean. I love him dearly, he is my person, he is my family,” Braunwyn said, but clarified, “But I’m not attracted to men and I never have been.”

Regardless, Braunwyn has no plans to divorce Sean, whom she shares seven children with: Hazel, 2, Koa, 4, twins Caden and Curran, 7, Jacob, 15, Rowan, 18, and Bella, 20. “We are in unchartered territories. Sean and I are still married, I plan on staying married. We are not sleeping in the same bedroom right now, but we are in the same house,” Braunwyn further revealed during the interview, adding, “We are raising our kids together, he’s my best friend.” Braunwyn also said her children “weren’t shocked at all” upon learning the news.

Braunwyn even said that her longtime husband even “knows” the woman she’s “dating.” Otherwise, Braunwyn didn’t reveal too many details about her unidentified girlfriend, but she did say this: “I met someone that I was interested in pursuing a relationship with,” she said. “It became something that I didn’t want to hide anymore and I didn’t want to keep secret anymore.”
