Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Will ‘Likely’ Keep Any 2nd Pregnancy News A Secret Until After Baby’s Birth

There are looming rumors that Meghan Markle is expecting her second child with Prince Harry. As for how the pregnancy speculation began? — In late October, according to multiple reports, a judge in the United Kingdom approved Meghan’s request to delay the beginning of the trial for her privacy lawsuit against the Mail. In addition to granting Meghan’s request, the judge reportedly delayed the start of the trial by almost exactly nine months, which led royals fans to wonder if Meghan might be pregnant and laying low amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Adding fuel to the baby buzz, the judge reportedly granted the postponement on “confidential grounds.”

HollywoodLife has learned that while there’s no confirmation that Meghan and Harry are expecting their second child, the couple would take a more private approach to expanding their family this time around. “With [son] Archie, they had a lot of pressure to share the news with the public. Now that they’re private citizens, they can keep their lives totally to themselves if they want,” a source close to the Suits actress, 39, told us, exclusively. “A lot of people think it’s likely that they’ll follow the trend of hiding her pregnancy until after the baby is born — just for their own peace of mind,” the source said.

Now that Meghan and Harry, 36, are living in Santa Barbara, they’re enjoying their privacy, which is something they didn’t have much of while living in the U.K. “She and Harry are both extremely private and they will want to guard their privacy that much more if she is pregnant, especially with what she went through during her first pregnancy,” the source said, recalling, “She had a terrible amount of stress the first time, so it’s understandable as to why they’d want to keep it a secret for as long as possible if she is pregnant.”

While it’s still up in the air, friends close to Meghan and Harry wouldn’t be surprised if she’s pregnant. “They absolutely adore being parents so if she is pregnant it’s kind of expected,” the insider said, adding that Meghan and Harry “absolutely adore being parents.” The source went on to note that Meghan “certainly hasn’t broadcast any pregnancy talk as fact to her friends. Plus, her true inner circle knows better than to push or pry. She will, if it’s true, inform whoever she wants at the appropriate time.”

Meghan and Harry, along with their one-year-old son, officially became residents of Santa Barbara in July. They relocated after announcing on January 8 that they decided to step down from their senior roles as Royals. Now that it’s been a few months since the big move, Harry and Meghan have found a “great groove at home,” a separate source previously shared with HollywoodLife.
