The four finalists this season are Laith Al-Saadi (Team Adam), Adam Wakefield (Team Blake), Alisan Porter (Team Christina) and Hannah Huston (Team Pharrell). They’re all SO different, and each have such a unique talent to offer. Tonight, they’ll be taking the stage three times: Once to sing a cover, once to sing an original song they wrote themselves, and finally, once more, to perform a duet with their coach.
Laith made it into the finale after winning last week’s Instant save against Mary Sarah and Bryan Bautista, and he kicks things off in the finale with the classic rock tune, “White Room” by Cream. It’s the kind of performance we’ve grown to know and love from Laith all season long, and of course, he also impressively rocks out on his guitar while belting out the tune.
Next up, Alisan takes the stage to sing her original song “Down That Road,” in which she sings about her difficult journey through overcoming addiction. Obviously, it’s quite an emotional song, but it’s also incredibly powerful, and sends an important message to anyone looking for a little bit of hope. Obviously, Alisan delivers it flawlessly, as always, and the crowd loves it!
Adam and his coach, Blake, team up for a duet next, and considering the 39-year-old’s only remaining team member is also a country artist, it’s pretty much a perfect pairing! The guys sing “The Conversation” by Hank Williams Jr and Waylon Jennings in front of a country-themed stage set, and it’s basically exactly what you would expect from them — and so totally awesome.

Hannah is next to perform, and she sings a gorgeous rendition of “Every Breath You Take.” The preschool teacher looks and sounds absolutely stunning, and completely commands the room with her performance — can you guys believe she never even sang in front of a big audience before her Blind Audition?! She’s basically a pro now.
Next, Laith and Adam get together for a duet, during which they sing a medley of Beatles’ hits, with Laith on guitar (duh) and his coach on the drums, then switching to the guitar, too. These guys have made a point not to shy away from showcasing Laith’s musical skills, along with his voice, this season, so it was all-too-perfect that they both opt to play instruments in this epic performance. Oh, and it does’t hurt that they sound great, too.
It’s time for another duet next, as Alisan and Christina team up to perform “You’ve Got A Friend.” It’s such a beautiful song, and hearing these two powerhouse voices on it just makes it that much better. And, seriously, how stunning do both of these ladies look tonight?!
Adam is back for another performance next, and this time, he’s here to sing his original song. He wrote it all by himself, and just like Alisan’s, it’s very emotional and sad, which really gives him the ability to pull the audience in and connect on a deeper level.
The last duet of the night is up next, as Hannah and Pharrell take on his song “Brand New.” The original version of this track features Justin Timberlake, but Hannah does a stellar job at filling in. The performance is so fun and the bond between Pharrell and his final artist is totally evident!
Next, it’s time for Laith to debut his original song, which he explains is about “wanting to hold on to that love you have for somebody you know you’re not going to be with.” Obviously, the track features a ton of guitar solos, but also gives Laith an opportunity to show off his raspy vocals.
Adam is back for his third performance of the night next, this time taking on the Vince Gill classic “When I Call Your Name.” He’s flying high on momentum from his incredible Semifinals performance, and once again, he delivers a memorable rendition of a song right in his wheelhouse.
Singing her original song next is Hannah, and she actually co-wrote it with her coach, Pharrell. The track tells her story of gaining confidence throughout her journey on The Voice, and it’s pretty amazing to hear how she feels about her growth over the last few months.
Closing out the night is Alisan, and it’s absolutely no surprise that her rendition of “Somewhere” from West Side Story is beyond words amazing. There’s a reason Alisan has been a fan favorite since Week One, and she proves once again why with this powerful, but contained performance. She holds out that final note amazingly and has everyone on their feet — SOOOO good!
A winner will be named at the end of the May 24, two-hour finale, and we will, of course, have you covered the whole way through!
