May the force be with 5 Seconds of Summer! When the guys were tasked with interviewing the ‘Star Wars’ cast, they took their role super seriously by dressing as classic characters from the franchise. Watch the hilarious vid below!

If you weren’t convinced that the 5 Seconds of Summer boys are obsessed with Star Wars, their latest gig will surely persuade you! 5SOS declared their Star Wars fandom when they got the chance to talk to the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the most legit way possible — dressing up as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and, yes, even Chewbacca!

The 5SOS guys landed the major honor of interviewing the likes of Harrison Ford, John Boyega, and Daisy Ridley for AwesomenessTV, and they certainly took advantage of it! “We can’t do it looking like this because we look really boring,” Michael said prior to the interview. After going to a dressing room full of costumes, the boys took their outfits into a galaxy far, far away and became their favorite characters!

All the guys looked awesome in their totally perfect ensembles, with Luke Hemmings fittingly donning a Luke Skywalker costume. Michael Clifford played the role of Han Solo — a bold move in front of the original actor! Although Calum Hood‘s Chewbacca outfit was on point, perhaps the most hilarious outfit was Ashton Irwin as Princess Leia!

“I didn’t expect to wear heels today,” Ashton said. “I feel fantastic, best I’ve felt. Got some elevation happening with the heels. Boom. Shiny, polished, ready for the runway.” Oh Ashton, you’re too much!

Once their transformations were complete, the boys met face to face with the cast. Despite the silliness of their costumes, the guys actually managed to pull off a pretty awesome interview! Maybe the force really was with them thanks to the costumes!

After the interview, the guys played a Star Wars version of Heads Up, where Michael got the chance to show off his galactic knowledge. Just like the guys did with their costumes and interview, Han Solo Michael nailed it! It seems the outfits could be a secret weapon for the 5 Seconds of Summer guys…who knows, we may just be seeing Star Wars 5SOS once again!

Do you think the 5SOS boys made great interviewers, HollywoodLifers? Which costume was your favorite? Share your thoughts below!
