Katy Perry: John Mayer Was My Crush:

The songstress gushed about her boyfriend — and it turns out she always had a thing for him! “I actually am dating my crush. I had a crush on him for a long time, and it just so happens we fit together great,” she said. It’s great to see Katy so happy! Katy and John make such a cute couple.

Katy Perry On Her Style Icons:

Considering we love all things 90s, our girl crush on Katy grew even stronger when she listed her style icons! “My style icons were Gwen Stefani, when she was in No Doubt, and then Shirley Manson in Garbage. I didn’t know what Freddie Mercury looked like! I was mostly impressed by his confidence,” she tells the mag. Gwen and Shirley are seriously stylish 90s chicks — and we love them, too. There is nothing cooler than a woman who takes risks with her style and Katy is definitely the poster girl for being confident and cool.

Katy Perry On ‘Prism’:

Roar is without a doubt one of the anthems of 2013. Katy is known for creating music that fans can relate to and it’s refreshing to see that she hasn’t lost her touch with her new album Prism. “People talk about bullying, but you can be your own bully in some ways. You can be the person who is standing in the way of your success, and that was the case for me. I was having a great professional streak, but personally, I was really immature, so I had to balance those things out. If you are not happy with something, you should change it. So I went to a lot of therapy, and finally, I am able to speak up for myself: You are going to hear me roar!,” she tells the mag.

Inside the issue, Katy shows off ensembles from the Ralph Lauren Collection, Altuzarra, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs. For more on Katy be sure to pick up the magazine when it hits newsstands later this month.
