Liam Payne Dating Sophia Smith — New Girlfriend Was Childhood Friend
To the disappointment of fans everywhere, Liam, 19, confessed to his new relationship during a press junket for One Direction‘s movie This Is Us, according to Oh No They Didn’t!
While Liam said he and Sophia haven’t been dating long, sources say he “has really fallen for her. It’s getting very serious, very fast.” We can understand the attraction — Sophia is absolutely stunning! Liam also likes the fact that his former schoolmate knew him before he became famous — that’s what makes her beautiful to him!
Liam is so smitten with Sophia that he flew his new flame 5,000 miles to Los Angeles recently to watch One Direction perform. Now that’s true love!
Liam went to school with Sophia at St Peter’s Collegiate School in England, and they were also recently spotted partying at London’s Funky Buddha club, according to The Mirror. We hope it works out for Liam and Sophia! There’s something so romantic about Liam finally getting to date the girl he pined over for so long during his schoolboy days.
Liam Payne & Girlfriend Danielle Peazer Break Up
This is Liam’s first real relationship since breaking up with his longtime girlfriend Danielle Peazer back in May. Liam and Danielle had been dating ever since they met on The X Factor in 2010, and they even bought a pet dog together in March — but it just wasn’t meant to be.
“They have been trying for months to make it work but it just hasn’t. They had a big chat last month and decided there wasn’t any point in dragging it out,” a source told The Sun.
Unfortunately, Liam’s busy work schedule was to blame for the split. They initially ended their relationship in September, due to long-distance woes, but they reunited in December when Danielle traveled to New York City to watch One Direction perform at Madison Square Garden. She joined Louis Tomlinson‘s girlfriend Eleanor Calder, Zayn Malik‘s girlfriend Perrie Edwards and Harry Styles‘ then-girlfriend Taylor Swift at the show.
Let’s hope Liam will make plenty of time to hang out with Sophia — we wouldn’t want him to make the same mistake twice!
