Ayla Brown (born July 28, 1988 in Wrentham, Massachusetts) is an American pop singer. She was a contestant on American Idol season 6, but was eliminated from the Top 16. Following American Idol, Ayla went to Boston College where she played basketball. She has also continued to make public appearances and join people on stage for performances. She released her debut album, Forward, on October 17, 2006. Following her father’s Senatorial victory in 2010, Ayla released her new EP Circles. She performed her single “Pick It Up” on Fox and Friends on February 15, 2010. She has traveled overseas to perform for U.S. troops. In early 2011, Ayla moved to Nashville to pursue her music career more seriously. She released her first single “Goodbye for Good” in April 2011 and performed at the CMA Music Festival in 2011 and 2012. Ayla san the “National Anthem” at the 2012 Republican National Convention and has continued to sing America’s anthems at Republican events. In 2016, Ayla performed the “Star-Spangled Banner” on the final night of the 2016 Republican National Convention.
