‘The Talk’ Hosts Through The Years — ‘The Talk’ has been a staple of daytime TV for more than a decade, with its debut in 2010. Over the course of the show’s run, there have been a number of accomplished women who have led discussions on celebrity news, hot takes on current events, and so much more.

Of course, not every co-host has stayed the entire stretch of the show. In fact, it’s actually pretty rare! Like a number of daytime talk shows that feature a number of co-hosts, some stars of the series have come and gone for various reasons. Sometimes there have been internal issues between co-hosts. Other times, co-hosts have simply made the decision to take a step back.

Holly Robinson Peete

Holly Robinson Peete — Holly Robinson Peete was a co-host on ‘The Talk’ for its inaugural season. She was let go from the production before season two and didn’t return. Initially Holly “heard rumors” that new co-hosts were going to be hired, per The Hollywood Reporter. Since her exit from ‘The Talk,’ Holly has acted, appearing in shows like ‘Mike & Molly,’ ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘American Housewife.’

Leah Remini

Leah Remini — Leah Remini served as a co-host on ‘The Talk’ for the first season, as well. She did not return for the second. Since leaving the show, Leah has been an outspoken critic of the Church of Scientology, including making a documentary about the church and members who have left the institution. She’s also continued to act, appearing in films like ‘Second Act.’

Marissa Jaret Winokur

Marissa Jaret Winokur — Marissa Jaret Winokur left the series after one season. Not much is known about why Marissa left. She continues to act in TV and film.

Aisha Tyler

Aisha Tyler — Aisha Tyler was a co-host on season 2-7 of ‘The Talk.’ Aisha was highly in-demand at the time, hosting shows like ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?,’ appearing on ‘Criminal Minds’ and more. Her overloaded schedule may have been the reason she made the decision to cut back and make her exit.

Julie Chen

Julie Chen — Julie Chen was a co-host on ‘The Talk’ from seasons 1-8. Julie left her co-hosting role as sexual misconduct allegations about her husband, Les Moonves, the former CEO and chairman of CBS, surfaced. She’s recently teased a new season of ‘Big Brother.’

Sara Gilbert

Sara Gilbert — Sara Gilbert was a co-host on ‘The Talk’ from season 1-9 of the show, leaving in 2019. Sara left the daytime talk show to focus on her family. She’s also continued to appear on ‘The Conners.’

Marie Osmond

Marie Osmond — Marie Osmond joined ‘The Talk’ only for the 10th season of the show, between 2019-2020. She announced her exit on Instagram, citing how excited she was to spend time visiting her children and grandchildren. Here, Olivia Newton-John (left) hugs Marie Osmond.

Eve

Eve — Singer Eve was a co-host on ‘The Talk’ from season 8-11. She announced her exit on November 2, 2020, saying that she was ready to take a step back and focus on her family amid the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘Obviously staying home has been such a blessing because my husband and I got to know each other in a different way, a beautiful way. So I want to be closer to him. I want to concentrate on expanding our family, being with my family,’ Eve said.

Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne — After more than 10 years as a co-host on ‘The Talk,’ Sharon Osbourne announced her exit in March 2021. Sharon and her co-host, Sheryl Underwood, and an intense conversation about race on the show. As allegations of Sharon’s past misconduct came forward, she made the decision to leave the show completely.

Carrie Ann Inaba

Carrie Ann Inaba — Carrie Ann Inaba joined ‘The Talk’ in season 9. In April 2021, the co-host revealed that she would be taking a leave of absence. ‘Hi, everyone. So, I wanted to let you know, personally, that I have decided to take a leave of absence from The Talk to focus on my well being,’ she said in her a personal video. ‘I know you guys understand [that] health is the most important thing,’ she continued. ‘I appreciate your support; I appreciate the love and support from The Talk family, and I hope to be back soon.’
