Sundance Film Festival 2023: Photos — Sundance Film Festival brings Hollywood to the slopes of Park City, Utah for a celebration of independent films almost every winter. But following COVID, the festival had to scale back a bit. Screenings and press events were almost all remote in 2021 and 2022. But now for 2023, the festival is back in full swing, hosting 110 movies from 28 different countries right in Park City for 11 days.

The festival opened with the world premiere of Little Richard: I am Everything, a documentary about the late Motown great, on Jan. 19. Some of the other most buzzed-about titles of the festival include Cat Person, Drift, and You Hurt My Feelings. The festival is also hosting some highly anticipated documentaries, including Brooke Shields‘ tell-all Pretty Baby and the Indigo Girls documentary It’s Only Life After All. Sundance jurors will announce the winners of its film and documentary categories when the festival closes on Jan. 29, 2023

Never shying away from the truth, the two-parter is full of revelations, including the actress’s experience with sexual assault when she was in her 20s, as reported by USA Today.

Discussing the project in a Q&A after its premiere, which was shared by Variety. Brooke said, “I’ve always made it an important part of my journey to be as honest as I could. Not just to the outside, but to myself. I didn’t want to become shut down. The industry I’m in primes you to be shut down. I didn’t want to lose to that.”
