Playtime! Katy Perry officially kicked off her Las Vegas residency, “PLAY,” at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas on December 29 and her outfits were nothing short of perfect.

During her concert, Katy rocked a slew of fabulous looks – each one better than the next. One of her most outrageous ensembles was her silver chain metal mini dress that was covered in beer cans.

At one point during the concert, Katy sat down and poured the beer out of her chest into a mug.  She then drank the brew straight from the cup. From her sparkly orange & yellow gown to her white leather mini dress covered in bubbles, Katy’s looks did not disappoint.

The show, “Perry Playland,” will run on Jan. 1, Jan. 7, Jan. 8, Jan. 12, Jan. 14, Jan. 15, March 2, March 4, March 11, March 12, March 16, March 18, and March 19.

The star revealed her set-list ahead of the show, teasing fans with performances of classics like “I Kissed A Girl”, new tracks like “Smile” and of course, “Waking Up In Vegas”.

Katy teased a bit of her Vegas residency with People in Dec. 2021. She admitted, “The wigs are not gonna be as wild as they have been in the past. I gave the people what they wanted. I went back to the black hair so I’m just gonna blow that out. It’s gonna be a big, old thing. It’s gonna be a little sexy.” Still, Katy promised costumes with “tricks in them” and “a lot of rhinestones.”

Katy explained why she was excited about a residency with Modern Luxury in Dec. 2021, saying, “I really wanted to be able to strike more of a balance — to have a child and take her to preschool — but also be artistic and play with that energy.”

“I’m not saying that my tours are done, but a residency is actually the perfect thing for me right now,” the singer added. “I could not have done this in my 20s, and I am not sure that I would want to do it as I go out to pasture. But I definitely want to do this when I am vital and excited [about] creating and offering what I think is my best show ever.”
