Jim Brown — Jim Brown, the NFL star who was a Cleveland Browns fullback who also went on to become a Hollywood actor starring in films, ‘The Dirty Dozen,’ ‘Ice Station Zebra,’ & ‘100 Rifles,’ passed away at the age of 87 in his home in Los Angeles on May 18, 2023.

Andy Rourke — Andy Rourke sadly passed away at the age of 59 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. His death was announced on May 19, 2023, by former bandmate Johnny Marr.

Jacklyn Zeman — Jacklyn Zeman, who starred on ‘General Hospital’ as Bobbie Spencer, died at the age of 70 in May 2023. An executive producer for ‘General Hospital’ confirmed the news, but did not specify how Jackie died.

Keith Nale — Former ‘Survivor’ contestant Keith Nale died at the age of 62 on April 18, 2023. His son, Wes, who played ‘Survivor’ with him on the show’s 29th season, confirmed the news and revealed that his dad had been battling cancer for a few months before his death.

Michael Lerner — Michael Lerner died on April 8, 2023 at the age of 81. The actor’s death was confirmed by his nephew Sam Lerner, who stars on ‘The Goldbergs.’ Sam posted a tribute to Michael on April 9 and revealed that the world “lost a legend” one night prior.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Son Nicholas — Nicholas Lloyd Webber, the eldest son of Andrew Lloyd Webber, sadly passed away at the age of 43 on Saturday, March 25, his father confirmed in a statement. “I am shattered to have to announce that my beloved elder son Nick died a few hours ago in Basingstoke Hospital,” Andrew said in a statement to PEOPLE magazine on Saturday, March 25. “His whole family is gathered together and we are all totally bereft. Thank you for all your thoughts during this difficult time.”

Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley — Lisa Marie Presley died on Jan. 12, 2023 at the age of 54. She suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was hospitalized before passing away hours later.

Her mother Priscilla shared a statement, saying, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”

Gary Rossington — Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington died at 71 on March 5. The band announced his passing in a statement. “It is with our deepest sympathy and sadness that we have to advise, that we lost our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist, Gary Rossington, today,” the band wrote in a Facebook post. “Gary is now with his Skynyrd brothers and family in heaven and playing it pretty, like he always does.”

David Crosby — News David Crosby had died at the age of 81 emerged on Jan. 19, 2023. The founder of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young co-founder’s passing was announced by his wife of 35 years, Jan Dance.

It a statement to the press, she shared, “It is with great sadness after a long illness, that our beloved David (Croz) Crosby has passed away. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and soulmate Jan and son Django. Although he is no longer here with us, his humanity and kind soul will continue to guide and inspire us.”

“His legacy will continue to live on through his legendary music,” she continued. “Peace, love, and harmony to all who knew David and those he touched. We will miss him dearly. At this time, we respectfully and kindly ask for privacy as we grieve and try to deal with our profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers.”

Gangsta Boo & More — Gangsta Boo was found dead inside a Memphis home on January 1, 2023, at the age of 43, reported by local network Fox13. A statement from her family said, “The Mitchell family would like to thank everyone for their condolences regarding the untimely death of Lola ‘Gangsta Boo’ Mitchell. The family is asking for your continued prayers and privacy as we process the loss of our loved one.”

The rapper, born Lola Chantrelle Mitchelle, was a prominent female lyricist from Memphis. She was even nicknamed “The Queen of Memphis.” The star was one of only two female members of the hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia.

Jeff Beck — Virtuoso guitarist Jeff Beck died on Jan. 9 at the age of 78. The news was shared via his official Twitter days later. The statement said, “On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”

Tatjana Patitz — Model Tatjana Patitz’s death was reported by Vogue on Jan. 11, 2022. She was only 56.

The German model was one of the most famous faces of the 80s and 90s. Editor Anna Wintour paid tribute to the beauty, writing, “Tatjana was always the European symbol of chic, like Romy Schneider-meets-Monica Vitti. She was far less visible than her peers—more mysterious, more grown-up, more unattainable—and that had its own appeal.”

His racing team paid tribute to the star in a statement to CNN, saying, “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time while they grieve.”

Earl Boen — Actor Earl Boen’s death was announced on Jan. 6, 2023, per TMZ. The star, who was best known for his appearances as Dr. Peter Silberman the Terminator series, passed away quietly at his home in Hawaii. He was 81.
