Bridesmaids became a massive hit when it was released on April 28, 2011. The comedy, which earned over $288 million at the box office, revolved around the hilarious ups and downs Annie experience as she navigated being a maid-of-honor for her best friend. Kristen Wiig teamed up with Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper, and Wendi McLendon-Covey to form one epic comedy team. Bridesmaids earned two Oscar nominations, including a Best Supporting Actress nod for Melissa. Since Bridesmaids, the cast has gone on to star in many more hit comedies and TV series. Melissa earned another Oscar nomination a few years later and will play Ursula in the live-action Little Mermaid. Kristen notably reunited with Melissa in the all-female Ghostbusters and played Cheetah in the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984. While a Bridesmaids sequel doesn’t seem to be in the cards, the cast still has plenty of projects for us to enjoy. Find out what the cast is up to these days with our gallery.
