How Did Christina Meet Matthew?
Prior to meeting Matthew, Christina was married to Jordan Bratman. The pair had been married since 2005, but it was revealed they separated in 2010, and she filed for divorce that same year. The divorce was finalized in 2011. Christina met Matthew while working on her 2010 film Burlesque. Matthew was a set production assistant on the film, and they hit it off! The rest is history, as they say!

Matthew does most of his work behind the scenes. He’s been an investor and an executive vice president at the educational video company MasterClass since 2014, according to his LinkedIn. He studied business administration at Roger Williams University, but he also minored in music!
He Used to be a Production Assistant for Movies
Before starting at MasterClass, Matthew was very busy in the movie industry, making his and Christina’s meeting on a movie set, very fitting. He worked on movies like The Proposal, The Town, The Social Network, and Just Go With It.
They’ve Been Engaged for Nearly a Decade
After four years of dating, the couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2014. She revealed that Matthew had popped the question in a tweet, showing them holding hands with her ring on full display. “He asked and I said…” she wrote.
Since they’ve been engaged since 2014, it’s clear that they’re not really in a rush to get married. In fact, a source told Us Weekly in 2022 that they were very happy to wait it out. “There are no wedding plans at the moment. [Christina] and Matt are happy the way they are,” they said. “They’re one of those couples who don’t need a document to prove their love for each other.”
They Have a Daughter
Even though they’re not married, they do have a daughter, Summer Rain, 9. Matthew and Christina are clearly proud parents. When Summer celebrated her birthday in August 2023, Christina invited her daughter on-stage and Matthew posted a cute video of the two of them watching a sunset. “Happy 9th Birthday to our little sunshine,” he wrote on Instagram.
They Love Pranking Each Other
Christina revealed that she and Matthew have a fondness for pranking one another in an October 2023 interview with Jimmy Kimmel. “Me and my fiancé, we literally go out of our way to prank each other every year,” she said. She then showed a photo of a man dressed up like Michael Myers from Halloween in her closet. Though, she admitted that he didn’t get scared, so she may have to try harder next year.
