Drue Tranquill, 28, is going to his first Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife Jackie Tranquill will surely be there cheering him on. The 28-year-old linebacker has been playing football since high school, which is where he met Jackie. Since then, Jackie’s been by her man’s side as he’s become one of the star players for the Chiefs, who will face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11.

Drue & Jackie Met in High School
Drue and Jackie are high school sweethearts. They went to Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. “We met our junior year of high school after I moved from Memphis, Tennessee to Fort Wayne, Indiana. We were both from Tennessee, so we hit it off right away!” Jackie said in an interview with Wedding Day.
The couple stayed together in college and both went abroad, where they got engaged. “He surprised me in Iceland at a beautiful lighthouse on the ocean and immediately got on one knee to propose,” Jackie said. “I was shocked!”
Drue & Jackie Got Married in 2018
Drue and Jackie, who are both Christian, tied the knot on July 14, 2018 at a church in their hometown in Indiana. Drue shared photos from the wedding on Instagram afterwards and penned a heartfelt caption about his wife. “Watching my bride walk down the aisle was the most precious moment of my entire life. It gave me a small glimpse of the joy and love Jesus will experience when He welcomes home His bride. Thank you for lighting up my world Mrs. Tranquill, life is so much fun with you!!!” Drue wrote.
Jackie talked about planning her special day in her interview with Wedding Day. “I am a classic Southern girl so I knew I wanted to keep things simple and clean, yet elegant,” she shared. “My faith is also something really important to me, so I knew I wanted to have the ceremony in a church and I am so glad I did. It was wonderful!”
Jackie Is a Health & Wellness Teacher
Jackie is a health and wellness educator at Saint Joseph Health System in Indiana, according to her Facebook. She was previously a dietetic intern at King’s College Hospital NHS and at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She studied dietetics at Purdue University.
Drue & Jackie Have Three Kids
Drue and Jackie have one son and two daughters. Their first child, son Elijah James Tranquill, was born on May 19, 2019. Their middle child, daughter Anna Grace Tranquil, was born on April 26, 2021. And their third child, daughter Mackenzie Joy Tranquill, was born on November 17, 2022. Drue and Jackie frequently post photos of their adorable children on their Instagrams. Jackie brings the kids to her husband’s football games where they all cheer him on.
In December 2022, when he was still on the L.A. Chargers, Drue spoke in an interview about how much he loves being a dad.
“There are so many parts that I enjoy,” the linebacker said. “Really just seeing the wonder in your kids. Seeing yourself in your kids and the way that expresses itself on a day-to-day basis. It’s just so cool seeing your kids interact with each other, love each other. Just getting to see them grow up is special.”
