Bio:
Steve Scalise (born Stephen Joseph Scalise on October 6, 1965 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is the current United States House of Representatives Majority Whip and a representative from Louisiana’s 1st congressional district. He has served in that position of House Rep. since 2008 and became the Majority Whip in 2014. In 2002, Steve spoke at a convention for the European-American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO), a group founded by KKK Imperial Wizard David Duke and received extreme backlash. He is a Republican. On June 14, 2017, Scalise was shot by James T. Hodgkinson while attending a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, VA. He is reportedly in stable, but critical condition.

Personal Life:
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science from Louisana State University in Baton Rouge. He married Jennifer Ann Letulle on September 4, 2005 and the couple have two children.
