Sam Bradford (born Samuel Jacob Bradford on November 8, 1987 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is an American football player, currently a quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. Before playing for the Vikings, Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2010, the same year he won Rookie Of The Year, and stayed with them for four seasons. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles for one year.
Best Known For:
Besides playing for the Vikings, Sam is best known for his 2010 season with the St. Louis Rams because he was the first overall NFL draft pick. During his rookie year, Sam set the record for most pass completions in NFL history.
Personal Life:
Sam is 1/16 Cherokee and is an official member of the Cherokee Nation’s tribe, a federally recognized association in the United States. He comes from a family of football players as his father, Kent Bradford, was an offensive lineman for the Oklahoma Sooners. In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing ice hockey, and practices his born again Christianity.
