Melissa Rauch (born Melissa Ivy Rauch on June 23, 1980 on Marlboro Township, New Jersey) is an American actress and comedian. Melissa grew up in New Jersey, attending Frank Defino Central Elementary School. While in High School, Melissa developed an interest in acting. While attending college, she began performing stand-up comedy in the comedy scene in New York City. Her one-woman show, The Miss Education of Jenna Bush, gained her critical acclaim and sol-out audiences. Her early work includes contributions to VH1âs Best Week Ever and film roles in Delirious, I Love You, Man and the American adaptation of the Australian sitcom, Kath & Kim. Melissaâs big breakout came in 2009, when she joined the cast of the CBS hit sit-com, The Big Bang Theory. Melissa also appeared on a handful of episodes of True Blood, The Office and in the movies Are You Here and The Bronze.
