Mary McCormack (born Mary Catherine McCormack on February 8, 1969 in Plainfield, New Jersey) is an American actress, known mainly for her work in television. She has starred in television series such as Murder One, K Street, In Plain Sight, and most recently Welcome to the Family. Her breakthrough role came in 2004 when she joined the cast of popular political drama series The West Wing as ex-CIA officer Kate Harper for three seasons. Mary also starred in the Broadway revival of Boeing Boeing, for which she was nominated for the 2008 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play.
