Bio:
Martin Henderson (born October 8, 1974 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand actor. Martin began acting as a youth, landing his first role when he was just a teenager. At thirteen, he appeared in Strangers, a local television production. Five years later, he landed a role on the New Zealand prime-time soap opera, Shortland Street, which lasted from 1992-1995. During his time on the show, he also appeared in movies Echo Point and Home and Away, until his friend, Heath Ledger, encouraged him to move to the United States in 1997. His first US role came in 2002’s Windtalkers. That year, he also appeared in the American version of the Japanese horror movie, The Ring. He continued to appear in movies, including Bride and Prejudice, Little Fish and Torque. He also cast in the Shondra Rhimes’ short lived television series, Off The Map. In June 2015, Martin was announced as a new doctor on Shondra’s hit television show, Grey’s Anatomy. He stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley and Emma Watson in the 2015 epic adventure, Everest.
