Ken Jeong (born Kendrick Kang-Joh Jeong on July 13, 1969 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American actor and comedian. After impressively graduating high school at the age of 16, Ken received his M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) degree in 1995. While completing his residency in New Orleans, Ken developed his comedic career by doing standup comedy on the side. He became a registered physician in the state of California after moving to Los Angeles to pursue a comedic acting career. Ken made his film debut in 2007’s Knocked Up, but perhaps his true breakout role was in The Hangover two years later in which he played Asian mobster Dr. Chow. Shortly after The Hangover‘s release, Ken began a recurring role on NBC’s Community.
