Esther Mwale

Esther Mwale (born Esther Mwale in Malawi, Africa) is Madonna‘s adopted daughter. She and her twin sister Stella were officially adopted by the singer at the age of four in February 2017. They did not speak any English at the time of their adoption.

Personal Life:
Esther Mwale’s birth mother died five days after giving birth to her and Stella due to complications from a caesarean section operation in August 2012. The girls’ father, Adam Mwale, had five other children including an adult son and was unable to cope with their arrival. He then handed them over to the orphanage. Esther and Stella lived at the Home of Hope Orphanage in Malawi until they were adopted by Madonna. They then moved to New York with her.
