Brock Turner

Bio:
Brock Turner (born Brock Allen Turner in Dayton, Ohio in 1996 ) is a Stanford University student, who was convicted of raping an unconscious woman on the university campus in January 2015. He was found guilty of three felonies for sexual assault and sentenced to six months in jail.

Best Known For:
Brock Turner is best known for raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster, outside of a fraternity house after reportedly meeting the woman at a campus party. His 6-month sentence became a hot topic, after many criticized the court’s leniency in the offense.

Personal Life:
Brock Turner’s dad has been very vocal since his son’s conviction. Dan Turner, initially penned a letter to the judge, pleading that his son be given a lesser sentenced when he faced up to 14 years in prison. He claimed a harsh sentencing would heavily impact his son’s young life. And after Brock was sentenced to six months, his father made controversial remarks in regards to the crime. Brock was gearing up to be an Olympic swimmer in the summer games in Rio before he was convicted.
