Kourtney Kardashian, 41, “trusts’ her ex Scott Disick, 37, and the “choices” he makes about the women he dates, even if there’s a big age difference that causes controversy. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and her family are aware of his new relationship with Amelia Hamlin, 19, but it’s not something that they’re focused on right now.

“The Kardashians aren’t really talking about Scott & Amelia. It’s not something that’s coming up often in conversation,” a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. “They honestly just want Scott happy.”

“Kourtney is really protective of the kids but also lets Scott live his life,” the insider continued. “They still communicate daily and do things as a family.”

Just like she did with Scott’s ex Sofia Richie, 22, however, Kourtney will take “awhile to warm up to the idea of Amelia, if she sticks around” but “she’s still really new and she trusts Scott to make good choices when it comes to the kids.” Kourtney’s mom, Kris Jenner, 65, also knows Amelia, which seems to help with the family’s opinion of her being romantically involved with Scott.

“Kris knows Amelia because of Lisa Rinna [Amelia’s mom] so she’s not a stranger to them and they know she’s a nice girl,” the source shared. “The other girls know her but not extremely well.”

Scott, who dated Kourtney for nine years, and Amelia first caused romance speculation when they were spotted hanging out together on Halloween. Since then, they’ve been spotted out and about together again more than once, including when they took a stroll along the beach on Nov. 16. The brunette beauty is the first woman he’s been linked to since splitting from his long-term ex Sofia in Aug.

Although Scott and Kourtney have moved on since ending their own romance in 2015, they remain close and often spend time together while raising their children, Mason, 10, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 5. Despite on and off rumors of a reconciliation, a previous source told us the former lovebirds are not getting back together.

“Scott and Kourtney will always hold a special place in their hearts for each other, but a romantic relationship just isn’t in the cards for them right now,” the source EXCLUSIVELY explained. “They’ll always care about each other because they’ve known each other for such a huge part of their lives and really grown up together in a lot of ways so that bond will always be there.”
