Another day, a new makeup tutorial from Selena Gomez! The singer and newly-minted makeup mogul, 28, uploaded a new video to her Rare Beauty YouTube channel on December 1, in which she showed her legions of fans the products, brushes, and steps she adheres to when applying an easy foundation look perfect for everyday wear. Selena began the video looking positively fresh-faced and fabulous.
Her hair was slicked back into a tight, low bun and not a drop of makeup was on the beautiful blank canvas of her face. Then, it was time to get ready. “Here we go again,” she said after clapping her hands together. “So, I’ve noticed that some days I’m better than others,” she admitted, adding, “but I think I’m slowly starting to get my system,” she explained, discussing her various makeup routines. It’s barely been one year since Selena announced that she was launching her Rare Beauty collection, and she was clearly getting into some beauty routines perfect for fans.
“Now I’m going to move onto the concealer part,” Selena shared. She then showed where around her face she usually applies her Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer — beneath her eyes, underneath her eyebrows, and just under her nose. “I get redness all over my nose,” she revealed. “That’s just kind of, like, something I’ve always struggled with,” the singer candidly shared.
Finally, it was time for some highlighter. Selena used the Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in Enchant, which she described as a “pretty, light, dusty pink.” Using the dot system once again, she highlighted her cheekbones, tip of her nose, and just beneath her eyebrows. For the perfect, bright pop of color on her lip, Selena use Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream in Ascend, a bold pop of pink. Just before applying the matte, Selena cleaned up her brows with the Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel. And voilà — it was a perfect finish for the beautiful singer’s look.
